Creative Discovery Museum

Wow! What a fun place this was!  We ended up purchasing a (really affordable) family pass so that we can come back as many times as we want while we're here.  I think we both enjoyed it as much as the kids did and there are so many different ways/opportunities for new types of play.  I wish I took more pictures, but we were busy having fun :)

Climbing equipment--Judah was a little intimidated by this.  His "favorite part that he didn't like" was the twisty slide.  Everything kind of intertwines and there are a lot of unstable surfaces that he's never seen before so Mr. Careful decided to forgo most of this activity.  He did good trying, though!

Underneath the climbing area is for water play!  This was the first place we went and had a hard time getting both kids to move on from here. There are little fountains, boats, do-hickey's and gadgets, cause and effect type activities.  We could probably spend an entire morning just playing in the water.

Not much is cuter than a sweet baby in a smock :) 

There is a picket fenced off area for young toddlers and babies to play safely.  Behind the car is a tool room--all different types of hand and pretend power tools, paint cans and brushes, those types of things.  There's also a fully stocked kitchen and lots of soft toys to make believe with in this room.

The art room!  Print making, weaving, digital art, magnets, a clay table, fun with beeswax, all different types of things!

The music wing.  Not pictured, but they had a whole room for string instruments, wind instruments, lots of things to pick up and shake....

The performing arts room.  There was a whole stage with different backgrounds that you could change out, a ballet bar (not sure what the proper term is) with the mirrored wall and tutu's to try on, puppets galore...

All about dinosaurs.  This section was most like a "real" museum.  They had fossils, lots of technical information...but of course, lots of fun hands-on things, too.  We spotted a Judahasaurus while we were there!

Upstairs there was a Wizard of Oz exhibit.  These exhibits change out every so often and we'll get to see at least two more while were here. There was also a roof top bee exhibit where you can see them fly in and out of the hive, learn about their life cycle, jobs, etc.  and a spiral staircase the leads you alllllllll the way up a tower and offers a great lookout over Chattanooga.  More fun times ahead!
